We are currently seeking a SAP SCEM Consultant to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

SAP SCEM (Supply Chain Event Management) professional to design, configure, implement, and support event-driven supply chain tracking and monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate possesses deep functional and technical expertise in SAP Event Management (EM) / SCEM, integrating closely with core ECC, S/4HANA, Transportation Management (TM), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to deliver real-time visibility and exception management across global supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Architecture:
    • Lead business requirement workshops to understand supply chain visibility, tracking, and monitoring goals.
    • Design end-to-end SAP SCEM solutions mapped to business processes (e.g., order fulfillment, shipment tracking, high-value asset tracking).
    • Define event handlers, tracking IDs, milestones, and expected/unexpected event structures

System Configuration & Customization:

  • Configure SAP Event Management (EM) components, including business process types, event types, rule sets, condition tables, and activity/action functions.
  • Set up connectivity and data transfer parameters (ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, Web Services, XML, or EDI) between application systems (ERP/TM/EWM) and SAP EM.
  • Configure automated alert mechanisms, escalation procedures, and notification frameworks (e.g., email, SMS, dashboard triggers) for overdue or delayed milestones

Integration & Testing:

  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP SCEM with core ECC/S/4HANA Logistics modules (MM, SD, LE, TM, EWM).
  • Develop functional specifications for custom developments (ABAP enhancements, user exits, interfaces).
  • Plan and execute unit testing, integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support cutover activities

Support & Continuous Improvement:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to event message processing, connectivity, and status updates.
  • Train key/super-users, draft documentation, and provide post-go-live stabilization support

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • [8+] years of hands-on SAP implementation experience, with specific focus on SAP Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM / SAP EM).
    • Minimum of [3] full-lifecycle SAP implementations or major rollout projects.

Technical & Functional Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of SCEM architecture, event handler generation, tracking scenarios, and milestone monitoring.
  • Proficient in integration technologies (IDocs, EDI, XML, Web Services, RFCs).
  • Strong working knowledge of neighboring SAP logistics modules (SAP TM, EWM, LE, SD, MM).
  • Basic debugging/reading skills in ABAP to support functional-technical troubleshooting is a strong plus

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate globally in dynamic project setups
