Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior IP Billing Executive to join our team at Spandana Hospital in Bengaluru. As a full-time position, the role is integral to our billing department, focusing on efficient billing processes and patient records management. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Medicare/Medicaid billing and EHR systems, supporting our mission to provide affordable and high-quality healthcare services.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in Medicare/Medicaid billing, essential for accurate processing and compliance (Mandatory skill).
  • Experience with Electronic health record (EHR) systems, crucial for managing patient data efficiently (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong aptitude in insurance verification, vital for patient coverage assessment and correct billing (Mandatory skill).
  • Understanding of ICD-10 coding standards for accurate diagnosis coding and billing.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding to ensure proper coding of procedures and services.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management principles to optimize financial performance.
  • Experience in denial management, essential for reducing claim denials and improving revenue.
  • A thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient information and ensure privacy.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the billing process, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of claims.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure pre-certification and authorization requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper implementation of coding practices and chart documentation.
  • Handle denial management processes by analyzing rejections and initiating appeals when necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive EHR system records in accordance with hospital procedures.
  • Ensure billing procedures comply with Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance regulations.
  • Respond to billing inquiries from patients and other stakeholders promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance billing practices and efficiency.
