BMC Helix HAM / SAM

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and administer BMC Helix HAM and SAM modules.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of hardware and software assets, from procurement to retirement.
• Configure and maintain asset classes, product catalogs, software license models, and asset relationships.
• Integrate BMC Helix with CMDB, Discovery, procurement, and other enterprise systems.
• Monitor software license usage, ensure compliance, and optimize software asset utilization.
• Perform data reconciliation, asset audits, and maintain asset accuracy.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to asset management and compliance.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide L2/L3 support for HAM/SAM environments.
• Collaborate with IT operations, procurement, security, and infrastructure teams to improve ITAM processes.
• Create technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix HAM/SAM or BMC Remedy Asset Management.
• Strong knowledge of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes.
• Experience with BMC CMDB, BMC Discovery, and ITSM integrations.
• Understanding of software licensing models, software compliance, and asset lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT Asset Management best practices.
• Experience with REST APIs, data imports, and system integrations is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
