Business Producer

About the Role:

Republic Business is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Video Producer to join its newsroom team. The ideal candidate will have strong editorial judgment, hands-on experience in non-linear production, and a solid understanding of live news production & PCR workflows. The candidate must have worked in a business channel handling Business news operations. The candidate should also possess working knowledge of PCR operations to effectively coordinate between editorial teams during live broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Curate news packages, explainers, special reports, promos, and breaking news content in a fast-paced newsroom environment

* Produce compelling visual stories by integrating video, graphics, sound bites, and newsroom assets

* Coordinate with reporters, anchors, output teams, graphics, and PCR personnel to ensure seamless execution of news bulletins and special programming

* Ensure editorial accuracy, visual quality, and adherence to broadcast standards

* Handle quick-turnaround edits during breaking news situations while maintaining high production quality

* Support live production requirements by understanding rundown structures, cueing, timing, and newsroom workflows

* Assist in packaging business, markets, economy, and corporate news content in an engaging and viewer-friendly format

Required Skills & Qualification:

* Bachelor's degree in journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.

* 3–5 years of experience in television news production, preferably in a business Channel or financial news environment.

* Working knowledge of PCR operations, rundown management, timing, and live show coordination.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a 24x7 Business news environment.

* Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skill

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior experience in business, finance, markets, or economic news production.

* Exposure to live television news production.
