We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the CIPM AUX Engineering team and own the technical execution layer of our power infrastructure lifecycle program. This is an embedded engineering role within a product management team; you will be the technical hands and eyes of the auxiliary power space, working alongside the Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) who coordinates and owns the overall program.

You will lead lab testing and validation of UPS systems, PDUs, and energy management platforms; execute and support pilot deployments at corporate office sites; create and maintain deployment runbooks, firmware control documentation, and RMA processes; and track the health, compliance, and configuration integrity of the production AUX fleet. You will consult on power requirements for Core Network and Compute hardware, evaluate new auxiliary platforms and management software, and ensure that all products meet CIS standards before handover to delivery teams.

This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of hands-on power infrastructure work and structured program execution, and who wants to grow their impact in a team that directly shapes energy management strategy at Amazon scale.

About the team
Corporate Infrastructure Product Management (CIPM) is responsible for the hardware fleet lifecycle of Amazon's corporate infrastructure, encompassing vendor and platform strategy, firmware and patching compliance, fleet inventory and lifecycle management, and hardware capacity planning. CIPM serves as both product owner and strategic driver of the infrastructure hardware roadmap, collaborating closely with partner engineering and deployment teams across the organization.
Within CIPM, the Auxiliary (AUX) Engineering function owns the power distribution and energy management layer that underpins all corporate office infrastructure. The team manages a global fleet of auxiliary power hardware - including UPS systems, PDUs, and environment sensors - across corporate office sites worldwide. This fleet provides reliable, efficient power distribution and power supply to every CIS-hosted product deployed in corporate offices, covering new builds, lifecycle replacements (LCR), expansions, maintenance, and proof of concept programs. The team onboards new auxiliary products through a repeatable process and validates them against CIS standards and site-specific requirements, ensuring consistent power reliability at Amazon scale.
