Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide daily comprehensive medical care and management for patients admitted to the ICU, ensuring the highest standards of critical care.
- Perform and supervise advanced ICU procedures including intubations, placements of central lines, arterial lines, and management of ventilators.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams and other healthcare professionals to formulate and implement patient-specific treatment plans.
- Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations, administering rapid interventions as required for patient stabilization.
- Monitor patient progress, interpret clinical data, and adjust treatments as necessary, maintaining detailed and accurate medical records.
- Educate and counsel patient families about critical illnesses, treatment plans, and prognosis with compassion and clarity.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies to uphold quality and safety in the ICU.
- Participate in regular training, clinical audits, and continuous education programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in critical care medicine.
