Competence requirements

Must have:

Expertise in PRO-E, CATIA, CREO Parametric

Knowledge on various Manufacturing processes like Sheet metals, Casting & Plastics

Product Development Process Knowledge.

Good knowledge in PDMLink/Windchill

Good knowledge in the different modules within ProE, CREO Parametric (Piping, Cabling, Sheet metal, Mechanical)

Good knowledge in Volvo Standards and requirements for CAD usage

Self driven, delivery focused

Good communication skills

Ability to connect and communicate well with engineers at different locations.

Interest in working with people as well as technology and processes.

Good leadership capabilities.

Energy and commitment to handle new challenges.

Abilities to set priorities and take decisions.

Open-minded



Work Experience

For this position, the main responsibilities are:

Support end users in Pro Engineer and PDMLink

Check CAD objects in the release process.

Approve CAD data for release in PDMLink according to planned dates given by the projects

Handle questions concerning CAD data usage in ProE

Assure the quality of CAD data in PDMLink & ProE acc to STD requirements

Provide support and knowledge to engineering departments in how to create and use CAD data

Inform how to apply Standards, GDI's and MI Management Instruction in CAD data

The CAD checker's focus should be on approving, supporting, and releasing a correct and quality assured CAD data in PDMlink within Volvo

Training new users in PDMLink

Review new and updated standard, GDI's and MI Management Instruction and give input from a CAD support and CAD Administrator point of view.

Cross functional work with other sites and BA/BU areas

Must have global mindset to collaborate & work with engineers from different commodities with in BLR & other global sites.

Take ownership in developing engineering process & method documents.

Monitor and follow the quality of documentation.

Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
