Technical Program Manager - AI-Powered Android Test Automation

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly technical Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the development and execution of a next-generation AI-driven Android Test Automation Platform. The platform will leverage AI agents, LLMs, computer vision, and autonomous testing techniques to improve test creation, execution, maintenance, and defect identification for Android applications.
The TPM will work closely with Engineering, QA, Product, AI/ML, DevOps, and customer stakeholders to deliver a scalable automation solution. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strong program management capabilities and sufficient technical depth to engage in architecture discussions and guide engineering decisions.
Key Responsibilities:-
Program Leadership
- Own end-to-end delivery of the AI-powered test automation program.
- Define roadmap, milestones, dependencies, risks, and release plans.
- Drive execution across distributed engineering teams.
- Manage stakeholder communication and executive reporting.
Technical Leadership
- Understand Android application architecture and mobile testing ecosystems.
- Facilitate architecture discussions involving:
- AI Agents
- Generative AI/LLMs
- Computer Vision-based testing
- Autonomous test generation
- Test orchestration platforms
- Cloud device testing environments
- Drive technical decision-making and tradeoff analysis.
AI/ML Program Management
- Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to:
- Define agent workflows
- Identify AI use cases for testing
- Measure model effectiveness
- Improve automation coverage through AI
- Establish KPIs for:
- Test generation accuracy
- Defect detection effectiveness
- Test maintenance reduction
- Productivity gains
Delivery Governance
- Manage Agile execution.
- Track feature readiness and quality metrics.
- Drive issue resolution and dependency management.
- Ensure timely deliveries and customer commitments.
Customer Engagement
- Gather customer requirements.
- Translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Present roadmaps, demos, and progress updates.
- Manage escalations and delivery commitments.
Required Qualifications:-
Experience
- 10+ years in software engineering, QA automation, program management, or related fields.
- 5+ years as TPM, Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, or Program Manager.
- Experience delivering large-scale software products.
- Experience managing cross-functional engineering programs.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Android platform
- Mobile application lifecycle
- Test automation frameworks
- CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud-native development
- Experience with tools such as:
- Appium
- Espresso
- UIAutomator
- Selenium

- Firebase Test Lab
AI/GenAI Knowledge
Candidate should have practical exposure to:

- Prior experience building AI-assisted test automation products.
- Experience in Android platform or framework development.
