Description:

The ITAM team enables key corporate priorities by controlling costs,
enhancing operational efficiency and mitigating security and financial risks.
In this role, your objectives will include tracking and managing software and
hardware assets throughout their life cycle, ensuring consistent operational
processes are defined from initial request through retirement. Providing
accurate reporting to support business decision making while managing
asset related risks and establishing a foundation for services such as
Information Security, Configuration Management, Change Management,
Compliance Management, Procurement, budgeting and forecasting.


Mission

Interpret software license agreements and identify rules,
obligations, and product metrics to ensure compliance with
software license
Understand general software Product Use Rights and contractual
entitlement requirements for software products and publishers
Collect, cleanse and normalize software and hardware discovery
and inventory information
Establish and maintain regular license management processes to
review License Position Reports
Maintain regular Hardware Asset Inventory reports to ensure
inventory coverage remains high
Assist business and technical teams by monitoring and ensuring
contract compliance
Analyse consumption history and trends to understand and support
discussion with stakeholders regarding future demand
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to verify future
anticipated demand for software and hardware, translate this into
budgeting/forecasting guidance for the affected software programs
Conduct regular analysis of actual consumption of pre-purchased
inventories to deployment plans
Provide subject matter expertise to the Procurement Department
in support of software license and hardware support renewal
negotiations with publishers
Support software compliance audits
Interact with stakeholders as a promoter for Software & Hardware
Asset Management compliance processes and procedures
Collaborate Group Wide with cross-functional teams to
continuously improve existing, or implement new processes,
required to sustain the controls necessary to maintain software
compliance.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure all assigned
assets are being fully utilised


Skills

7+ years of business experience related to software and hardware
asset management, IT asset management, CMDB or software
procurement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
interacting with multiple stakeholders throughout the company at
all levels (including senior management) and across multiple
countries
Experience interpreting license and contractual terms/conditions
and analysing purchase records.
Experience in managing license compliance for Tier -1 publishers
such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, and VMware.
Knowledge of a variety of software licensing models and metrics
Provide support for Tiered vendor configurations in the SAM tool.
Working knowledge of SAM or HAM tool(s) i.e AMDB, SAM Pro, &
Flexera.
Experience with corporate wide and/or internal departmental
software/hardware policy/procedure development and document
preferred.
Establish and maintain regular license management processes to
review License Position Reports.
Define and enforce policies, standards, and controls for software
license compliance, usage, renewals, and provide necessary
evidence for regulatory requirements.
Support and guide the HAM team to ensure smooth execution of
hardware asset governance processes.
Continuously monitor KPIs related to SAM (technical and
operational) and HAM to ensure 100% data quality.
Familiar with discovery tools across platforms including SCCM,
JAMF, and ServiceNow.
Knowledgeable in hardware asset lifecycle management,
including sustainability concepts and key KPIs to track.
Proven track record in driving cost-saving and cost-avoidance
initiatives, with reporting capabilities using Tableau, JIRA and
ServiceNow Performance Analytics. ?
