ServiceNow DevOps / Operations / ServiceNow Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow DevOps / Operations / Administrator with strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform administration, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, performance optimization, and production support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, availability, and operational efficiency of the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the ServiceNow platform across development, test, and production environments.
  • Manage ServiceNow instances, configurations, users, groups, roles, ACLs, and access controls.
  • Perform instance administration, application configuration, system properties, notifications, scheduled jobs, and platform maintenance.
  • Manage update sets, application deployments, releases, cloning, upgrades, patches, and migration activities.
  • Support ServiceNow DevOps processes including CI/CD, source control, automated deployments, and release management.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, integrations, jobs, logs, and system availability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, performance bottlenecks, integration failures, and platform-related incidents.
  • Manage ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and other integration technologies.
  • Support platform security, governance, compliance, audit requirements, and best-practice implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, testing, regression validation, and post-upgrade issue resolution.
  • Implement monitoring, automation, and operational improvements to improve platform reliability and reduce manual effort.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ServiceNow development and administration teams.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow administration, operations, or platform support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and administration.
  • Experience with instance management, upgrades, cloning, patches, deployments, and release management.
  • Hands-on experience with Update Sets, Application Repository, Source Control, and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow security, roles, ACLs, users, groups, and access management.
  • Experience working across development, test, and production environments.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills / Certifications

  • ServiceNow CSA certification preferred.
  • ServiceNow CAD certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow DevOps or CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and platform monitoring is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, or other ServiceNow modules is preferred.
