Summary
Highly skilled and experienced QA Tester with Salesforce testing experience and ideally a background in utilities, specifically gas and electricity.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our applications through rigorous testing and analysis.
They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans that meet user needs and business goal.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing of applications related to Salesforce and utilities domain (gas and electricity).
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Document, create and execute test scripts and analyse results to identify defects and issues.
- Follow effective testing practices as part of the testing team.
- Provide regular reports on testing progress, defects, and issues.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in testing, automation testing, and quality assurance, and trends in the utilities sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing or related fields, with a focus on utilities (gas and electricity).
- Demonstrated expertise in testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of gas and electricity systems and applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present testing results and issues to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop and implement testing solutions.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
