Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)

Responsibilities : Looking for Oracle APPS DBA to Perform installation, Instance Management, Backups ,configuration, and upgradation of Database on all environments.

Manage database objects like tablespace, user, table, Index, roles, privileges, profiles, DB Links, materialized views, partitioning, synonyms, sequences, views

and indexes and other database objects etc.

Create physical/logical standby database and performing switch-over and fail-over.

Drive performance & tuning, monitoring the performance using tools.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise : Minimum 8 years total experience in IT Industry Experience in installation,

configuration and upgradation administration on Windows and UNIX environments to support Oracle DB along with RAC.

Ability to implement High Availability, Workload Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery and performance tuning.

Responsible for managing and supporting Oracle APPS database platforms/ Instances.

Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining database instances Recommending and implementing database security policies/patches Recommending

and implementing database backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies Implementing automated monitoring to ensure proactive handing of issues.

Working independently to perform database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance.

Recommending best practices and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, and systems administrators.

Should be able to work independently on P1 issues and prepare RCA documents.
