Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with strong experience in Sports Analytics, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Generative AI, and MLOps. The candidate will lead the end-to-end development and productionisation of AI solutions for live sports, including automated sports metadata generation, key-event detection, player performance insights, contextual statistics, and personalised recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of AI/ML solutions using Python, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Generative AI.
• Build models for sports event detection, metadata generation, player performance analysis, and injury-risk insights.
• Work with high-volume sports event, tracking, spatial, video, and metadata datasets.
• Design and develop ML/DL models using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Take ML models from experimentation through production model serving and monitoring.
• Design and implement A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, metrics, and dashboards.
• Establish and maintain robust MLOps practices, including model tracking, model registries, drift detection, automated retraining, and CI/CD.
• Design scalable and low-latency AI systems for real-time or near-real-time sports applications.
• Work with streaming and real-time data processing systems for live sports use cases.
• Ensure models are developed with appropriate responsible AI, fairness, transparency, and ethical principles.
• Lead technical design discussions and define the technical direction for AI/ML solutions.
• Mentor and guide Senior and Mid-Level Data Scientists.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Optimize AI systems for performance, latency, reliability, scalability, and cost.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong Python expertise.
• Strong experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning.
