Detailed JD * (Roles and Responsibilities)	ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Over 5 years of good experience in SAS Platform Administration. Has experience working on SAS 9.4 Grid Architecture. Complete and detailed understanding of SAS 3-Tier Architecture, LSF, Job Deployments and Scheduling. Familiar with various SAS client tools (SAS Management Console, EG, DI, etc). Manage metadata server through SMC. Experience in managing user permissions using metadata ACL/ACT. Experience in fine tuning SAS Application by modifying the configuration parameter. Must have experience in SAS Installation and Configuration is preferred. Must have Hands ON experience with Hotfix implementation. Must have prior good experience of migrating SAS from older to new version/upgrade in place. Must have good experience on Linux OS and have good knowledge on Unix commands, ACL management. Certification in SAS Platform Administration is preferred. Knowledge in SAS Programming is an added advantage. Perform root cause analysis and resolve failures. Analyse and debug data issues, job failures, etc. Knowledge on Control-M tool is preferred. Prior experience of Linux system administration is preferred. Good to experience in migration away from SAS to any other tool. Good have working knowledge on Hadoop platform. Good stakeholder management skills able to engage in formal and casual conversations and driving the right decisions. Good troubleshooting skills, able to identify the specific service causing issues, reviewing logs and able to identify problem entries and recommend solution working with product vendor. Capable of reviewing and accepting/ challenging solutions provided by product vendors for platform optimization and root cause analysis tasks. Exposure to Amazon Web services (AWS) and Google cloud platform (GCP) services relevant to big data landscape, their usage patterns and administration is preferred. Significant experience on Linux shell scripting is preferred. Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub, Subversion) and automated deployment, testing tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Bamboo etc) Worked on projects with Agile/ Devops as the product management framework, good understanding of the principles and ability to work as part of the POD teams Identify project issues, communicate them and assist in their resolution.
