Principle DevOps Engineer
The Principal DevOps Engineer will serve as a technical leader and platform enablement architect responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing release infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and environment automation for our flagship product built on AWS cloud-native architecture with extensive microservices ecosystem. This role focuses on facilitating team self-service capabilities through infrastructure platform engineering, enabling development teams to author their own infrastructure while following established best practices and guardrails.

10+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering with 5+ years leading release infrastructure and platform enablement initiatives
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise for enterprise-scale development workflows and repository management.
At least 2 years of programming experience in relevant languages to facilitate automation, scripting, and platform development.
At least 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud.
Proven expertise in building self-service infrastructure platforms that enable developer autonomy while maintaining operational excellence.
Track record of technical mentorship and guiding engineering teams through DevOps transformation.
Strong experience building and enforcing DevOps metrics and KPIs to drive organizational improvement and platform optimization
Expert-level experience designing enterprise CI/CD platforms supporting large-scale microservices ecosystems
Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps for enterprise-scale development workflows
Expert-level Terraform proficiency for building reusable infrastructure modules, state management, and automation at scale
Experience with developer platform tools like Backstage for service catalogs and developer portals (strong plus)
Experience with Flyway for database migration and schema version control
Proven experience implementing DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR) and other DevOps performance indicators.
Strong communication skills for technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Proven ability to champion DevOps culture transformation and establish engineering best practices
Release Infrastructure & CI/CD Excellence
Design and implement sophisticated release infrastructure enabling rapid, reliable deployments across multiple environments and regions
Build enterprise-grade GitHub CI/CD pipelines supporting independent microservice deployments with advanced deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, progressive rollouts)
Establish automated release orchestration across the microservices ecosystem with dependency management and rollback capabilities
Create pipeline-as-code solutions enabling teams to define, version, and manage their own deployment pipelines
Build observability-driven deployment systems with automated rollback triggers based on SLI/SLO violations
Architect and implement comprehensive Terraform automation for consistent environment provisioning and management
Implement policy-as-code and compliance automation to ensure infrastructure authored by teams meets organizational standards
Design and implement comprehensive DevOps metrics frameworks measuring deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery (DORA metrics)
Provide technical mentorship and training to help teams adopt platform engineering and infrastructure-as-code practices
Champion DevOps culture transformation and establish engineering best practices across the development organization
