\nPosition Summary:
\nThe Medical & pharmaceutical Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for primarily
\ndeveloping and expanding the organization's India Medical & pharmaceutical customer base
\nthrough increased penetration within both new and existing customers.
\nThe Medical & pharmaceutical BDM's main objective is to continually grow the organization's
\nbusiness in the Medical & pharmaceutical industry within India. New customer development
\nshould be considered the single most important element of the BDM's area of responsibility.
\nThe Medical & pharmaceutical BDM will support the organization relative to the execution of sales
\nobjectives established annually by the organization's management team. Roles of the BDM position
\nwill include: developing and implementing an industry approach strategy, identifying industry
\ntarget customers, directly engaging these customers to review and quote solutions to their
\nrequirements, providing input into the product development groups, and working closely with the
\norganization's Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Support teams to ensure revenue and new
\ncustomer development objectives are met.
\nExpectations:
\n1. Act as the organization's Growth Champion for the India Medical & pharmaceutical industry
\nby:
\n1. Developing and implementing strategies to target and penetrate Medical &
\npharmaceutical customers.
\n2. Identifying, contacting and developing Medical & pharmaceutical customers with
\nsignificant revenue potential and, particularly, those who have global reach and
\nextend beyond the boundaries of India.
\n3. Identifying, engaging and cultivating ongoing relationships with Integrator/Machine
\nBuilder customers within India that are strategically aligned to serve the Medical &
\npharmaceutical market.
\n2. Support the organization's Sales efforts by:
\n1. Traveling, as needed, within India to support the agreed upon growth initiatives.
\n2. Conducting frequent customer visits to grow relationships and increase sales by
\nperforming application reviews, technical seminars, demos and providing ongoing
\nsupport to those customers.
\n3. Providing training, support and technical expertise to all sales channels to aid them
\nin successfully selling the organization's full line of products and systems to the
\nMedical & pharmaceutical industry and reinforcing to them that the organization is
