Position Summary

Hartek Group is looking for a Civil Design Engineer with experience in EHV/HV Substation design to join our Engineering team in Mohali. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the structural and civil design of AIS/GIS substations and be proficient in STAAD.Pro for analysis and design of substation structures and foundations.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Prepare civil and structural designs for AIS/GIS substations up to 400/765 kV .
  • \n
  • Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD.Pro .
  • \n
  • Design foundations for transformers, gantries, equipment, control buildings, switchyards, cable trenches, and boundary walls.
  • \n
  • Prepare RCC and structural steel design calculations.
  • \n
  • Develop GA drawings, foundation drawings, reinforcement detailing, and structural layouts.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Primary, Secondary, and Project teams during engineering.
  • \n
  • Ensure designs comply with IS Codes, NBC, IEC, and client specifications .
  • \n
  • Review vendor drawings and provide technical approvals.
  • \n
  • Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and technical documentation.
  • \n
  • Support tender engineering with quantity estimation and preliminary layouts.
  • \n
  • Optimize designs for cost, constructability, and project execution.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with site teams to resolve construction-related engineering issues.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • \n
  • M.Tech (Structural Engineering).
  • \n
\n

Experience

\n
    \n
  • 2–6 years of experience in Civil Design for EHV/HV Substations .
  • \n
  • Experience in Power EPC , Transmission & Distribution, or Electrical Infrastructure projects.
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience in AIS/GIS Substation design.
  • \n
  • Experience working with EPC organizations is preferred.
