Consultant Technical Lead - Database Administrator for Mainframe

We are looking for a DB2 Database Administrator on a Mainframe environment with 10 years of experience

Key Responsibilities

Ensure service continuity within the Development environment.

Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of tool configurations.

Collaborate closely with development chapter members and feature teams, providing a "DB2 for ZOS" expertise and support to developers.

Develop and maintain DB2 SG internal tools.

Monitor and support the implementation of recommendations in development environment.

Provide support for new features of DB2 product, including test, validation, documentation and promotion.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

Optimize SQL queries and improve application performance.

Work closely with Production DBAs (GTE) to validate implementations, share feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Produce and maintain DB2 documentation (best practices, quick guides).

Technical Skills & Expertise

Knowledge in data modeling

Recognized as a technical expert and point of reference for DB2-related topics.

Experience supporting developers throughout design and development phases to ensure secure and optimized DB2 access.

Expertise in SQL optimization and performance tuning (Run an EXPLAIN and master how to interpret it).

At least 10 year experience with DB2 for ZOS (Experience as a DBA in production environment would be an advantage)

Tools : PLATINUM, Mainview, Strobe.
