Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance data engineering and data platform solutions.
• Architect and implement data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, PySpark, SQL, and related technologies.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near-real-time data processing.
• Work on modern Lakehouse/Data Lake architectures and implement scalable data ingestion and transformation frameworks.
• Design data models, schemas, and transformation layers for analytical and reporting workloads.
• Optimize Databricks workloads, Spark jobs, clusters, queries, and overall platform performance.
• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance practices.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Cloud Architects, Business Analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ensure development follows best practices around security, scalability, maintainability, and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot complex data pipeline and production issues.
• Contribute to modernization of legacy data platforms into cloud-native/Lakehouse architectures.
Mandatory Skills
• 9–14 years of overall IT/Data Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark
• Advanced SQL
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT and data pipeline development
• Experience with Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture
• Strong understanding of data modelling
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms
