Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support and deliver enterprise-scale, business-critical trading and ETRM platforms. The role requires strong Oracle administration, performance tuning, availability, resilience, and production support capability, ideally gained within commodities, energy trading, financial markets, or other high-volume trading environments.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support Oracle databases across development, test, UAT, DR, and production environments.
Perform issue investigation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, backup, recovery.
Monitor and tune database performance, troubleshoot SQL and infrastructure bottlenecks, and resolve production incidents effectively.
Partner with application support, development, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams to support releases, changes, and platform enhancements.
Maintain database security, access controls, audit requirements, operational documentation, and support runbooks.

5-6 years as an Oracle DBA supporting enterprise applications.
Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c or later, SQL, PL/SQL, Linux/Unix, and database performance diagnostics.
Experience with RMAN, backup/recovery, monitoring, patching, upgrades, automation, and scripting such as Shell, Python, or Ansible.
Good understanding of ITIL processes, incident, problem, change, release, and environment management.

Desirable experience supporting ETRM/CTRM or trading platforms such as Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, TriplePoint, Aspect, or similar.
Understanding of high transaction volumes, intraday processing, end-of-day valuation, market data loads, risk, settlements, and reporting workloads.
Ability to support database performance and resilience for front-office, mid-office, operations, finance, and regulatory processes.
Awareness of trading system integrations, batch schedules, real-time interfaces, and controlled release windows.
