Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automation testing across web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and automation scripts.
• Create and maintain BDD-style feature files using Cucumber.
• Integrate Cucumber feature files with automation test suites.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects through ServiceNow or similar defect tracking tools.
• Perform root cause analysis and work closely with development teams to resolve defects.
• Maintain automation code and follow best practices for test framework development.
• Use Git for source code management, branching, merging, and collaboration.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure automation code quality.
• Prepare test reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Support test planning, execution, and release activities.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Experience testing web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with BDD and Cucumber.
• Experience writing and maintaining Cucumber feature files.
• Strong understanding of Git, including branching strategies, code reviews, and repository management.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar defect tracking/test lifecycle management tools.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies and software testing life cycle.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
