Appium + Playwright

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale clean, maintainable automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and Appium.
• Develop web automation using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Develop mobile automation using Appium with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Automate complex end-to-end user workflows across desktop browsers, including Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
• Automate and execute test scenarios on real and emulated Android and iOS devices.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Implement API and backend validation using Playwright API Request Context, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Build hybrid UI + API validation workflows for comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement parallel execution and test sharding to optimize regression execution time.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Maintain reusable test components, utilities, configurations, and automation documentation.
• Continuously improve framework scalability, reliability, execution speed, and maintainability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong hands-on experience with Appium.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for Playwright automation.
• Experience with Java/Python/JavaScript for Appium automation.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile automation testing.
• Experience testing Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit browsers.
• Experience with real/emulated Android and iOS devices.
• Good knowledge of API testing and backend validation.
• Experience with Playwright API Request Context, REST Assured, or similar API automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience implementing parallel execution, sharding, and CI/CD-based test execution.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test automation frameworks, and defect management.
