Assistant Manager Business Development
Job Description
The Asst Manager Business Development will lead growth initiatives for our
\nmoulding and stamping division, focused on auto component manufacturing. The
\nrole demands expertise in the auto industry supply chain, particularly in securing
\nOEM and Tier 1 supplier clients, managing technical sales cycles, and expanding
\ninto new automotive market segments. The candidate will drive strategic
\npartnerships and revenue growth by promoting our precision moulding and metal
\nstamping capabilities.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nDevelop and execute business development strategies specific to the auto
\ncomponent moulding and stamping sector.
\nDiversification of current portfolio.
\nIdentify and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2
\nsuppliers.
\nManage the entire sales cyclefrom lead generation and technical
\ndiscussions to contract negotiation and closing deals.
\nHandle the complete RFQ process: receive, analyze, coordinate internally
\nwith engineering and production, prepare costing,prepare competitive and
\naccurate quotations, and follow up with prospective customers.
\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key automotive industry
\nstakeholders and decision-makers.
\nCollaborate with engineering and production teams to tailor solutions as per
\nclient requirements and support quotations and technical proposals.
\nMonitor auto industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape
\nto anticipate market needs.
\nPrepare market analysis, forecasts, and sales reports to guide strategic
\ndecisions and report to senior management.
\nRepresent the company in auto industry exhibitions, trade shows, and
\nnetworking events to enhance brand presence.
\nLead and mentor junior sales and business development staff as needed.
\nQualifications and Skills
\nBachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive
\nEngineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
\nMinimum 8 years of progressive experience in business development or sales
\nwithin the auto component manufacturing sector, specifically moulding and
\nmetal stamping preferred.
\nStrong understanding of the automotive supply chain and OEM/Tier 1 buying
\nprocesses.
\nProven experience in RFQ management, quotation preparation, and bid
\nfollow-up in an industrial manufacturing context.
\nDemonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing long-term
\nclient relationships in auto component manufacturing.
\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with technical
\nsales ability.
\nProficient in CRM software, MS Office, and sales analytics tools.
\nWillingness to travel frequently to client sites and industry events.
\nRelationship building with automotive OEMs, suppliers, and aftermarket
\npartners.
\nRFQ process management and quote preparation excellence.
\nResults-driven with a consultative approach to client engagement.
