\nJob Summary
\nThe Placement Manager will drive the placement process for UID's design programs, fostering strong industry partnerships to secure high-quality placements for students in fashion, interior, product, graphic, and communication design fields. This role focuses on strategizing career services, organizing placement drives, and enhancing employability skills to achieve 90%+ placement rates annually.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Develop and execute annual placement strategies, including industry outreach, campus recruitment events, and virtual placement drives. \n
- Build and maintain relationships with design firms, creative agencies, corporates (e.g., fashion houses, interior brands, digital studios), and alumni networks in Delhi NCR and pan-India. \n
- Coordinate pre-placement training, resume building workshops, mock interviews, and skill development sessions tailored to design portfolios and industry demands. \n
- Manage end-to-end placement processes: student registrations, company shortlisting, placement schedules, offer negotiations, and placement reporting. \n
- Analyze placement data using tools like Excel/Google Sheets to track metrics (e.g., highest package, average CTC, sector-wise placements) and prepare reports for university leadership. \n
- Collaborate with faculty and program heads to align curriculum with industry needs and organize guest lectures/career fairs. \n
- Ensure compliance with placement policies, diversity hiring goals, and UID's ethical standards. \n
Qualifications and Experience

- Master's degree in Management, HR, Design, or related field; UGC NET qualification preferred. \n
- 4-6 years of experience in placements/training & placement in higher education, preferably in design/creative arts institutes. \n
- Proven track record in securing placements with top design brands (e.g., Raymond, Asian Paints, Ogilvy) and achieving high placement percentages. \n
Required Skills

- Strong networking and communication skills; proficiency in stakeholder management. \n
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and CRM tools for placement tracking. \n
- Knowledge of Delhi NCR job market, design industry trends, and employability skills training. \n
- Excellent organizational abilities; ability to handle multiple recruitment cycles under tight deadlines. \n
