Role: Network Data Engineer – Cisco Meraki
Experience Level: 4-8 Years
Location – Chennai
Job Requirements:
• 4+ years of experience in network engineering and data analysis, with strong exposure to Cisco Meraki environments.
• Hands-on experience with a. Meraki Dashboard configuration (Switching, Wireless, Security & SD-WAN) b
• Network monitoring and telemetry tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog)
• Strong understanding of: a. TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP basics) b
• Network performance tuning and troubleshooting methodologies
• Experience with automation and scripting (Python preferred) for data extraction and reporting
• Exposure to REST APIs and Meraki APIs for automation and integration
• Ability to analyze large volumes of network data and derive actionable insights Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and configure Cisco Meraki network infrastructure (Switches, Client, MX Security Appliances)
• Extract, analyze, and interpret network data using Meraki APIs and monitoring tools Develop automation scripts for: a. Network health checks b. Configuration validation
• c. Performance reporting · Perform proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of: a. Network performance issues b. Connectivity and latency concerns · Implement and optimize SD-WAN, VPN, and security policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EUC, Security, Cloud teams) for integrated solutions · Maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and RCA reports · Support governance reporting and KPI tracking (uptime, latency, packet loss, etc.).

Certifications: Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS) CCNA / CCNP (Enterprise / Security) Cisco DevNet (preferred for automation roles).
