Specialist Software Engineer - DevOps Engineer

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

5 years of relevant experience in Azure infrastructure, DevOps, cloud platform engineering, or SRE roles in enterprise environments.

Proven experience in building, maintaining, and supporting Azure environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and automation tooling.

Strong experience with scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, and Bash.

Experience with configuration management and automation frameworks such as Ansible.

Experience supporting or working closely with database and OS technologies including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Linux, and Windows.

Experience in platform security, audit support, compliance remediation, and cloud governance.

Experience with incident management, problem management, alert management, and production support in business-critical environments.

Experience resolving incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs is required.

Experience working in on-call support models for critical services is required.

Demonstrated ability to provide senior technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers is an advantage.

Experience working with internal and/or external service partners is an advantage.

Knowledge of Azure DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes is required.

Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are strongly preferred, in particular Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.

Experience in financial services or similarly regulated industries is an advantage.

Strong hands-on engineering mindset with senior-level technical ownership.

Good understanding of Azure infrastructure, platform operations, and DevOps practices.

Strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including reliability improvement, observability, automation, and reduction of operational overhead.

Proficient in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, especially Terraform and Ansible.

Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.

Good understanding of database and operating system administration concepts across MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Linux, Windows, etc.

Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.

Able to investigate and troubleshoot complex production issues and make sound technical decisions.

Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage alerts, incidents, service requests, and production priorities in line with agreed SLAs.
