Senior Solution Engineer (SLED & Water Treatment)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer (SLED & Water Treatment) based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to help protect critical public services and water infrastructure from evolving cybersecurity threats.
You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor to state, local, education, and water/wastewater organizations, helping them address complex IT, OT, and ICS security challenges.
Working closely with sales teams and partners, you'll translate customer requirements into compelling technical solutions and measurable outcomes.
You'll lead high-impact product demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-value engagements, and technical discussions with stakeholders at every level.
The role also involves navigating public-sector procurement, regulatory requirements, and complex customer environments.
Your field expertise will contribute not only to customer success but also to product evolution through direct feedback and market insight.

Accountabilities
- Partner with account executives and channel partners to develop new and expansion business across state, local, and education agencies and water/wastewater utilities.
- Understand customer requirements, technical challenges, expectations, and buying processes across IT, OT, ICS, and compliance stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey, from initial discovery through solution adoption.
- Deliver compelling demonstrations of cybersecurity solutions designed for OT, ICS, critical infrastructure, and public-sector environments.
- Prepare, manage, and present detailed technical responses to RFPs and public-sector procurement processes.
- Support procurement activities involving state and local contract vehicles and other government purchasing mechanisms.
- Develop strong technical relationships with partners and increase their understanding of solutions relevant to SLED and water-sector customers.
- Conduct technical workshops, proof-of-value engagements, and post-sale transitions with municipal, state, and utility organizations.
- Represent the organization at conferences, seminars, and industry events focused on public-sector and water/wastewater cybersecurity.
- Work with customer stakeholders ranging from executive leadership and agency decision-makers to plant operators, engineers, and IT/OT administrators.
- Identify customer pain points and design practical technical approaches that address operational and security requirements.
- Collaborate with product teams by sharing customer feedback, field insights, emerging requirements, and opportunities for future capabilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience supporting sales or solution engineering initiatives with state, local, or education government accounts and/or water and wastewater utilities.
- Proven track record of developing new business and expanding existing relationships with public-sector or utility customers.
- Strong ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from executive leadership to plant operators and IT/OT administrators.
- Excellent presentation, communication, demonstration, and technical storytelling skills.
- Working knowledge of OT, ICS, and SCADA environments, including the operational considerations associated with industrial infrastructure.
- Awareness of cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements affecting water utilities, including relevant federal and state requirements.
- Familiarity with public-sector procurement processes and contract vehicles such as GSA Schedule, SEWP, and state or local contracts is an advantage.
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or supporting enterprise and/or industrial applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify customer pain points and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with account executives, partners, product teams, and technical stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build credibility and long-term relationships through technical expertise and consultative engagement.
- Willingness to continuously develop knowledge of cybersecurity, OT/ICS environments, public-sector requirements, and evolving threats affecting critical infrastructure.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and the confidence to represent technical solutions in customer meetings, workshops, conferences, and procurement processes.
