About Role-
\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced audit professional to join our team as Assistant Manager Audit, this full-time and permanent position is based in Indore/Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Global Delivery Hub and its growth.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nAudit Planning
\n- \n
- Assist in preparing audit planning documentation & risk assessment. \n
- Perform analytical review procedures. \n
- Prepare lead schedules and supporting reconciliations. \n
- Draft audit reports and management letters. \n
- Ensure audit files are completed in compliance with ISAs and firm methodology. \n
- Support managers during audit completion and clearance meetings. \n
- Ensure all work is fully documented and compliant with firm methodology. \n
- Liaise with clients & resolve their queries. Maintain high levels of client service throughout the audit process. \n
Audit Fieldwork
\n- \n
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion and sign-off. \n
- Manage multiple audit assignments simultaneously. \n
- Assist Audit Managers on larger and more complex engagements. \n
- Perform substantive and controls testing across a variety of business sectors. \n
- Prepare detailed working papers using audit software. \n
- Identify audit risks and communicate findings to senior staff. \n
- Assist with stock counts and inventory observations where required. \n
- Lead and review testing across key audit areas including: \n
- Revenue and receivables \n
- Purchases and payables \n
- Bank and cash \n
- Fixed assets \n
- Inventory and stock \n
- Payroll \n
- Taxation balances \n
- Accruals and prepayments \n
- Provisions and contingencies \n
- Going concern assessments \n
Accounts preparation and Reporting
\n- \n
- Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and FRS 105 \n
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act requirements. \n
- Review disclosure notes and supporting schedules. \n
- Assist with consolidation schedules where required. \n
- Prepare management letters highlighting internal control weaknesses, risks, and actionable recommendations. \n
- Draft audit findings reports, completion summaries, and going concern assessments. \n
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management. \n
Requirements-
\nDirect experience in UK or Ireland audit practice
\n- \n
- Exposure to group audits, consolidations, or multi-jurisdictional engagements. \n
- Experience with charity, not-for-profit, or regulated entity audits. \n
- Experience managing audit assignments end-to-end, from planning to completion and filing. \n
- Familiarity with audit software such as CaseWare, CCH Audit Automation, or similar platforms. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Inter/Qualified CA or ACCA with 3-4 years of relevant audit experience. \n
- Additional qualifications such as DipIFR (Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards) are a distinct advantage. \n
