Role
\nWe are looking for a Sales Manager – Advanced Materials to become one of the first key sales members of AKD Advanced Materials and help build the commercial engine from the ground up.
\nThis is a hunter + relationship-builder role for someone who can identify industrial requirements, approach decision-makers, understand material specifications, generate enquiries, negotiate commercial terms and close B2B orders.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nBuild and manage a strong B2B customer pipeline across India and international markets.
\nIdentify and approach OEMs, manufacturers, procurement heads, sourcing teams, distributors, fabricators and industrial buyers.
\nDevelop business across Aerospace, Defence, Space, EV, Energy, Semiconductors, Medical, Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing.
\nGenerate enquiries for metals, alloys, prime materials and scrap.
\nUnderstand customer requirements including grade, specification, quantity, form, certification and delivery requirements.
\nCoordinate with sourcing, technical and operations teams to develop competitive quotations.
\nDrive the complete sales cycle — prospecting → enquiry → quotation → negotiation → closure → repeat business.
\nBuild long-term relationships with procurement heads, CXOs, plant heads and technical teams.
\nMaintain CRM/pipeline discipline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
\nTrack commodity pricing, competitors, customer demand and market opportunities.
\nDevelop new accounts while expanding existing customer relationships.
\nRepresent AKD at relevant industrial exhibitions, conferences and business meetings.
\nWhat We Are Looking For
\n- \n
- Minimum years of experience in B2B industrial sales, metals, materials, engineering, manufacturing, industrial procurement, commodities or technical products. \n
- Strong sales and business-development mindset with proven ability to acquire new customers. \n
- Good communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. \n
- Ability to understand technical product specifications and commercial requirements. \n
- Comfortable speaking with procurement heads, business owners, plant heads and senior management. \n
- High level of ownership, persistence and commercial aggression. \n
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer acquisition and meetings. \n
- Strong Excel/CRM and basic commercial-analysis skills. \n
Plus / Preferred
\n- \n
- Titanium, nickel, tungsten, cobalt, molybdenum or speciality alloys. \n
- Aerospace/defence/space supply chains. \n
- Metal trading, commodity sales or industrial raw materials. \n
- Engineering components, CNC machining, casting, forging or fabrication. \n
- Battery, EV, energy or semiconductor supply chains. \n
- Export sales / international B2B sales. \n
- Existing relationships with industrial procurement teams. \n
- Engineering / Metallurgy / Materials background. \n
- MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Finance or Strategy is a plus. \n
