Job Requirements*
\nLOCATION:- GURUGRAM
\n- \n
- Strong expertise in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) versions 6.x/7.x/8.x. \n
- Hands-on experience with VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Switches. \n
- Experience in VMware infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. \n
- Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and datastore management. \n
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or SRM \n
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux server administration. \n
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP. \n
- Experience in troubleshooting complex virtualization issues in production environments. \n
- Hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting Cisco UCS environments. \n
- Strong knowledge of Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, Chassis, and Blade Servers. \n
- Experience with UCS Service Profiles, Templates, Pools, and Policies. \n
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS Central/Intersight administration and monitoring. \n
- Experience in firmware upgrades, patch management, and UCS infrastructure maintenance. \n
- Experience performing health checks, capacity planning, and root cause analysis for UCS infrastructure. \n
- Ability to coordinate with server, storage, and network teams for infrastructure-related activities. \n
- Hands-on experience with PowerCLI/PowerShell automation and scripting. \n
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management. \n
- Experience in capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis (RCA). \n
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Ability to support critical infrastructure in a 24x7 enterprise environment. \n
Tools / Platforms

- ServiceNow / ServiceNow ITOM for ITSM processes, incident/problem/change management, event correlation, CMDB management, and service operations. \n
- SolarWinds, Grafana, VMware Aria Operations (vROps), and ServiceNow ITOM for infrastructure monitoring, performance management, capacity planning, and observability. \n
Key Responsibilities*
\n- \n
- Manage and support VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter Server). Own L2/L3 VMware operations support for virtual infrastructure stability lifecycle activities, incident resolution, and support of business-critical virtual workloads \n
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of VMware infrastructure. \n
- Drive ESXi version currency and upgrade planning, upgrading non-latest / out-of-support ESXi versions to maintain patch compliance and OEM supportability. \n
- Own the ESXi host lifecycle roadmap, prioritizing version upgrades, warranty/support considerations, and host refresh decisions. \n
- Govern risk management, DR alignment, and service availability metrics for the hypervisor estate. \n
- Monitor and maintain high availability of virtual environments. \n
- Configure and manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Fault Tolerance. \n
- Capacity planning and performance tuning of virtual infrastructure. \n
- ESXi hosts lifecycle management and cluster administration. \n
- Manage datastore provisioning and VM resource allocation. \n
- Conduct health checks and infrastructure audits. \n
- Support DR solutions and disaster recovery testing. \n
- Participate in DR planning and recovery validation for VMware-hosted workloads in line with Customer’s formalization of DR expectations and Experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM). \n
- Knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup. \n
- Create SOPs, and operational documentation. \n
- Maintain asset inventory and configuration records. \n
- Ensure compliance with security and organizational standards. \n
- Provide Level 3 technical support for complex VMware issues. \n
- Analyze and resolve critical incidents within SLA timelines. \n
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures

- Coordinate with OEM vendors (VMware/Broadcom, Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo) for issue resolution. \n
- Work with ServiceNow / ServiceNow ITOM / SolarWinds / Grafana for event monitoring, ticketing, visibility, and trend reporting. \n
- Lead planning tied to hypervisor standardization and customer's forward-looking compute transformation direction. \n
