About the Role

Functional Consultant – UK Payroll & SAP HCM

Reporting to: Scrum Master / Service Delivery Lead

Location: UK

Job Purpose and primary objectives:

• Support and Troubleshoot Payroll Issues
\n
• Setting up new wage types for different types of payments and deduction during payroll processing
\n
• Configuration of Payroll PCR’s
\n
• Ensure Compliance with Legal and Statutory Requirements
\n
• Collaborate With Cross‑Functional Teams
\n
• Support Business Run as usual during monthly payroll and End of year activities.
\n

Responsibilities

\n
• Understanding business requirements
\n
• SAP HCM configuration
\n
• Compliance & Statutory Requirements
\n
• Integration Support with other Third Party/downstream systems
\n
• Manage the time and priority for resolution of incidents and changes.
\n
• Analysis of SAP KBA’s for yearly Country Specific Legal changes along with HRSP upgrade
\n

Required Skills

\n
• Understanding of Payroll Schema and PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules)
\n
• Wage type configuration
\n
• Configuration of payroll area, periods, control record
\n
• Configuration of Processing classes, evaluation classes, and cumulation classes
\n
• Configuration of Integration with Finance (FI/CO) components
\n
• Pre-payroll validation and post-payroll checks
\n
• Year End Activities, HMRC submissions, RTI processes (UK)
\n
• Configuration Standard and custom reports (Adhoc Query)
\n
• Working in Agile methodology
\n

Preferred Skills

\n
• Daily job monitoring, troubleshooting and issue resolution
\n
• Knowledge of SAP HCM payroll (UK Country Specific)
\n
• Knowledge in Payroll schemas and PCRs
\n
• Knowledge in Wage type configuration and valuation methods
\n
• Knowledge in PA, OM and Payroll modules
\n
• Knowledge in executing different types of Functional Testing in Payroll module (UT, SIT and UAT)
\n
• Good communication Skills
\n
• Prior experience to work in a multi-vendor environment
\n
• Incident and change management for managing business issues and enhancements
\n
