\nExperience – 4-15 years
\nJob Title: Data Modeler / Lead
\nJob Summary: An experienced Data Modeler / Lead to design, develop, and maintain data models that support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
\nResponsibilities:
\n• Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
\n• Data Warehousing: Work with data architects and business stakeholders to design and implement data warehousing solutions.
\n• Data Governance: Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
\n• Data modeling techniques for data warehouses primarily include dimensional modeling (star, snowflake schemas) and relational modeling (3NF)
\n• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure data quality.
\n• Data Quality: Develop and implement data quality checks and data validation rules.
\nRequired Skills:
\n• Data Modeling: In-depth knowledge of data modeling concepts, including entity relationship modeling, dimensional modeling, and data vault modeling.
\n• Data Warehousing: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including ETL, data marts, and data lakes.
\n• Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance frameworks, including data quality, data security, and data compliance.
\n• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
\n• Tools: Proficiency in data modeling tools, such as ERwin, Informatica PowerDesigner, or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.
\nPreferred Skills:
\n• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Modeler (CDM) or Certified Data Warehouse Architect (CDWA).
\n• Big Data: Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
\n• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
\n• Programming: Experience with programming languages, including SQL, Python, or R
