Job Description

JD - Middleware Administrator (L3) Role: Middleware Administrator Level: L3 – Middleware Support Lead / SME Experience: 6-12 Years Location: Thane Role Summary Acts as the technical owner and escalation point for enterprise middleware platforms. Responsible for architecture, stability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of middleware services across on‑prem and cloud‑native environments. Leads major incident resolution, platform upgrades, and standardization. Core Skills (Must‑Have) Deep expertise in JBoss / WildFly / Tomcat / Apache Strong experience with container platforms – Kubernetes / Red Hat OpenShift Middleware architecture, design, and standardization Advanced performance tuning & troubleshooting Heap/thread analysis, GC tuning, memory profiling Strong experience with SSL, SSO, certificates, and security integration CI/CD pipeline design and governance Linux/Unix administration expertise Experience supporting 24×7 enterprise production environments Strong RCA, problem management, and stakeholder communication Good‑to‑Have Experience with cloud‑native middleware deployments Automation / scripting (Shell / Python) Exposure to monitoring & observability tools Knowledge of databases (MySQL/Postgres) and JDBC tuning Key Responsibilities Own architecture, design, and governance of middleware platforms Define and enforce middleware standards and best practices Lead major incident RCA and preventive action planning Perform advanced performance tuning and capacity planning Design and oversee high availability and scalability patterns Lead middleware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management Ensure security hardening, compliance, and audit readiness Oversee middleware deployments on Kubernetes / OpenShift Guide and mentor L1/L2 middleware support teams Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams on platform initiatives Final escalation point for middleware‑related issues Owns design decisions, platform stability, and roadmap Drives continuous improvement and technical excellence
