    The organisation is a reputable financial consultancy within the financial services industry. It operates as a medium-sized company with a focus on delivering exceptional advisory services to its clients.

    Job Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with FEMA, IBA standards and applicable regulations.
  • Advise internal teams on legal implications of financial services transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for prospective deals.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with transactions.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when required.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes impacting the financial services industry.
  • Provide support in dispute resolution and litigation matters, if necessary.

    • The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized university
  • Master's degree or additional professional certifications in law will be a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in banking transactions, preferably from the borrower side
  • Law firm experience is mandatory
  • Exposure to M&A and General Corporate Advisory is preferred
