Reports To : Director, Catering Planning and Product Development

Job Overview

Design, develop and launch new inflight products – Domestic and International – Perishable and Non-perishable for Buy on Board and Pre-booking

Qualifications: Hotel Management, Minimum Graduate

Responsibilities and Duties

· Menu Development – Work with Domestic and International caterers and vendors for new Perishable product development

· Achieve product quality and consistency within specified parameters

· Get Shelf life clearance and Conduct Nutritional information for packaging

· Coordinate with Procurement for costing and Pricing

· Recipe ownership, method of preparation and core ingredients standardization of new launches. Share Method of Preparation with Catering units and IndiGo ops

· Coordinate with Marketing / Digital teams and Agency for Packaging and positioning of new Products

· Develop, identify and source Non-Perishable items for in Flight sales (RTE, Munchies, Hot and Cold Beverages) Product and Packaging to launch suitable Product and Packaging to launch suitable - Domestic and International Menu

· Design new concepts/products through a development process, understanding of method of preparation, costing as well as Internal product/process validation (as required). Test pilot service run

· Coordinate the product development process relating to the cabin product, across all customer touch points in the cabin – LOPA entry-into-service, seats, Lavs, galleys, storage and all aspects related to customer experience in the cabin

· Development of aircraft cabin, seat, service, product from concept to launch, including product specifications, product sampling and collaboration with internal stakeholders for operations

· Providing timely communication between IFS, IFLY, Catering, Catering Planning, Marketing and the Leadership team

· Review NPS score to align with product innovation, customer expectations

· Review and respond to customer feedback & complaints

· Ensure key learnings and best practices are documented and shared within the airline

· Periodically present project updates and financial data

· Coordinate for IT System enhancements and developments

· Competition Bench Marking
