Azure Data Engineer

ValueMomentum is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to join our DataLeverage teams who will be responsible for leading technology innovation in the area of Azure Data Technology. You will be part of a highly collaborative and growing team and solve complex business challenges leveraging the modern data and analytics technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing batch processing solutions by using Data Factory and Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate would also be responsible implement the best practices in design and implement the Data warehouse using Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks and Azure SQL DWH.

Responsibilities:

As an Azure Data Engineer, your day-to-day work activities will be as follows:

• Design & Develop the ETL
• Create the Pipelines (simple and complex) using ADF
• Work with other Azure stack modules like Azure Data Lakes, SQL DW
• Must be extremely well versed with handling large volume of data
• Understand the business requirements for Data flow process needs
• Understand requirements, functional and technical specification documents
• Develop mapping documents and transformation business rules as per scope and requirements/source to target
• Responsible for continuous formal and informal communication on project status
• Good understanding of JIRA stories process for SQL development activities

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills:

• Overall, 5-9 years of skills with, Data Migration and Azure Cloud Data Migration and Data Warehousing related projects
• Good experience in writing SQL.
• Experience in developing and maintaining modern ingestion pipeline using technologies like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Spark, etc.
• Strong experience in design and configuration of data movement and transformation (ETL) technologies such as Azure Data Factory
• Strong experience in coding with languages like SQL, Pl/SQL
• Good-to-have Azure certification
• Good experience in Requirements gathering, Design & Development
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet strategic goals.
• Experience in high volume data environments
• Critical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
• Should be able to work and deliverindependently
• Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Good communication skills
• Worked in agile methodologies and waterfall execution models
• Must have excellent oral and written communication with an ability to interact clients directly
• Must be an individual contributor, good team player and self-motivated to take on challenges

Desired Skill Set:

Candidates having these extra skills on their resumes have an added advantage:

• Preference for certified Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associates
• Exposure in Insurance domain
