installation, migrations, customization and maintenance.\n\nInstall, configure, and maintain IMS DB, DB/DC, DBCTL, and DCCTL\n\nPerform upgrades, maintenance, and migrations (PTFs, RSUs, new releases)\n\nAdminister IMS components: IMS Connect, ODBM, CSL, Shared Queues, HALDB, Fast Path (DEDB)\n\nManage IMS Catalog, Managed ACBs, and DBRC\n\nMonitor and tune system performance (buffer pools, regions, throughput)\n\nDiagnose and resolve production issues using logs, traces, and dumps\n\nImplement security and access controls\n\nCollaborate with DBAs, developers, and infrastructure teams\n\nMaintain documentation, procedures, and automation (JCL, REXX)\n\nSupport modernization efforts (z/OS Connect, APIs, TCP/IP integration)\n\nPlan and perform Health Checks and Analysis\n\n- Very good knowledge of IMS database organization\n\n- Performance analysis & tuning for DBMS subsystems\n\n- IMS Monitoring Tool- Proficient- Required Monitoring tool\n\n- Proficient in JCL, TSO/SDSF/JES2/SYSVIEW/SMP/E\n\n- Ability to debug & diagnose DBMS system and utility software\n\n- Requires IMS Sysplex experience & data sharing expertise\n\n- Various types of IMS restarts (COLD/WARM/ERE).\n\n- Plan and perform DR (Disaster Recovery)\n\n- Knowledge about IMS SYSGEN process - Defining/Adding Transactions and Programs to the IMS system.\n\n- Knowledge of IMS Controls Blocks (DBDs, PSBs, ACBs).\n\n- Knowledge of IMS Database Recovery Control (DBRC) concepts and RECON datasets\n\n- Sound knowledge about IMS Logging - OLDS; SLDS; WADS;RLDS\n\nGood understanding of Incident, Asset, Problem and Change Management (ITIL)\n\nYour future at Kyndryl\nEvery position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career, from Junior System Administrator to Architect.
