GM – Brand Marketing


Meritto is a profitable, category-defining AI-powered SaaS and embedded payments platform powering enrollment for educational institutions across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Over the last nine years, we have built a 500+ member organization with strong financial discipline, deep cultural intent, and a long-term commitment to customer outcomes. Backed by Info Edge, Meritto today serves over 1,000 institutions through its Enrollment Platform, AI platform (Mio AI), and embedded payments business (Collexo).


Our growth has been built on substance deep domain expertise, proprietary enrollment data, category leadership, and a relentless focus on execution.


Role Overview

We are looking for a GM - Brand Marketing to build, scale, and strengthen Meritto's brand presence across India and international markets.


This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, community building, industry events, customer advocacy, partnerships, and storytelling. The mandate is simple:


Make Meritto one of the most recognized, trusted, and respected brands in the education ecosystem.


The role will own Meritto's branded properties, sponsored events, customer and employee storytelling, brand assets, partnerships, public relations, and market-facing brand experiences while working closely with Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Leadership teams.


Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Own Meritto's overall brand narrative and market positioning.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across Meritto, Mio AI, Collexo, Pixi, and future business lines.
  • Translate company strategy into compelling market-facing narratives.
  • Drive brand visibility, credibility, and category leadership across key stakeholder groups.


2. Events, Communities & Brand Experiences

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, execution, and outcomes of Meritto's branded properties including Evolve, Roots, Founders Table, regional and international community programs, and future brand initiatives.
  • Build and scale communities across key stakeholder groups by creating meaningful engagement platforms, experiences, and programs that strengthen relationships, drive participation, and position Meritto at the center of the education ecosystem.
  • Drive customer and employee storytelling through events, videos, case studies, campaigns, and other brand-led initiatives that showcase impact, innovation, and outcomes.


3. Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships

  • Own Meritto's sponsorship strategy
  • Evaluate and manage participation across industry conferences and ecosystem events.
  • Build relationships with education associations, media platforms, universities, and industry bodies.
  • Ensure every partnership and sponsorship creates measurable brand and business value.
  • Expand Meritto's influence through high-quality ecosystem relationships.


4. Public Relations & Corporate Communications

  • Drive PR strategy across India and international markets.
  • Build strong relationships with media and industry publications.
  • Manage corporate announcements, launches, milestones, reports, and leadership visibility.
  • Support executive communications and reputation management.


5. Brand Assets & Market Presence

  • Own the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of Meritto's brand presence across every customer, prospect, partner, and employee touchpoint. Ensure the brand is represented with clarity, credibility, and excellence across physical, digital, and experiential channels.
  • Drive the creation and evolution of brand assets, storytelling formats, and communication frameworks that strengthen market perception, support business objectives, and reinforce Meritto's position as a category leader.


Ideal Candidate

Experience

  • 7-8 years of experience in Brand Marketing, Event Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Community Building, or Strategic Marketing.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale B2B events and communities.
  • Strong exposure to executive engagement, sponsorships, partnerships, and storytelling.
  • Experience building customer advocacy and thought leadership programs.
  • Ability to manage agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams at scale.
