As an experienced Composite Structural Engineer, the position is vital for executing numerous Wind turbine rotor blade projects and critical to the business long-term success. To meet these objectives, we are seeking an mid-level experienced Structural Engineer to deliver robust design and analysis solutions for wind turbine blade component. This role involves advanced Composite structural modelling, simulation, and problem-solving, factory support along with ownership of project deliverables and contribution to team development.

How You’ll Make an Impact

\n

• As an Individual contributor, working from office, you will be part of structural design and development of wind turbine rotor blade structures.
\n
• Perform the composite blade structural Design and analysis using ANSYS APDL, MATLAB scripting, and analytical methods.
\n
• You must have hands-on experience in ANSYS APDL, should have good knowledge of MATLAB, willing to get expertise in MATLAB to contribute on automation activities.
\n
• Good understanding of structural design and analysis of large, layered composite structures / sandwich panel structures like blade.
\n
• Based on observations from structural analysis you should have ability to propose an optimal composite lay-up design to meet structural requirements
\n
• Should be outgoing, determined, good team player, inclusive with global team members and persistent with strong communication and collaboration skills.
\n
• Drive technical solutions, review with internal team and solution providers working across the different locations. Should be ready to travel to meet the business requirements.
\n
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and specifications.
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
\n
• Drive improvements in analysis methodologies, tools, and engineering processes.
\n
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality systems, and documentation practices.
\n
• Mentor and review work of junior engineers, providing technical guidance.
\n
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders.
\n
• Knowledge of wind turbine blade design, materials, structural analysis, review process, guidelines, manufacturing, testing, inspection, repair and transport methods.

What you bring

• As a part of Blades team in Bangalore location, you will execute projects in collaboration with our Blade teams in Denmark, USA, Spain and other locations.
\n
• The Blade Structural Design Department is responsible for the design of new blades for Offshore and Onshore market, tools development, blade handling, certification, validation, industrialization and handling of warranty cases.
\n
• We are looking for people who are compliant, systematic, self-initiative, team player and consistent with excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in all verticals with multicultural international stakeholders.
\n

Education & Experience:

\n
• You must have minimum 3-8 years of relevant experience in the area of composites structural analysis and design.
\n
• You must have Postgraduate/ equivalent in Mechanical / Aerospace Structures / Civil Structures / Relevant engineering disicipine from Premier Institutes

This role is part of Wind turbine Blades Structural Design Department which comes under Technology Blade modules group. We are looking for a highly skilled and mid-experienced structural engineer. The Blade Structural Design Department works on cutting edge technology in an international environment. The job will expose the engineer to a wide range of tasks allowing personal and technical growth and achieving a deep understanding of wind turbine blades.
