Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Operation Theater Incharge for our Bangalore location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of relevant experience. This role is crucial for overseeing operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the operation theater at Spandana Hospital.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in surgical instrument sterilization to ensure all instruments are properly cleaned and available for surgeries (Mandatory skill).
• Expertise in operation theater workflow management to ensure efficient scheduling and coordination of surgical procedures (Mandatory skill).
• Thorough knowledge of infection control procedures to maintain a sterile and safe environment within the operating room (Mandatory skill).
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance to protect staff and patients from risks associated with surgical procedures.
• Experience in inventory management in OT to track and replenish necessary surgical supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Ability to lead and manage an operation theater team to ensure adherence to protocols and optimal performance.
• Skilled at coordination with surgical teams to streamline operations and communication before, during, and after surgeries.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety protocols to prevent clinical incidents and enhance overall patient care quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the operation theater to ensure that all surgical procedures are executed seamlessly.
• Manage and train the operation theater staff to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to organize and facilitate smooth transitions between surgeries and handle any logistical challenges that arise.
• Implement and monitor infection control standards to safeguard the health of both patients and staff during procedures.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring availability and compliance with usage protocols.
• Develop and enforce safety measures and protocols within the operation theater to mitigate risks and enhance patient safety.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among various departments to support operative procedures and emergency requirements.
• Evaluate and implement best practices in operation theater management to continually improve service delivery and efficiency.
