Job Description
The Regulatory Intelligence Safety and Compliance (RISC) team is on a mission to protect customers from unsafe or non-compliant products while enabling trustworthy shopping experiences at Amazon. We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead our inventory management initiatives that ensure unsafe and non-compliant products are swiftly removed from Amazon's global fulfillment network. In this role, you will drive critical programs to reduce stranded inventory, optimize removal processes, and empower Selling Partners to maintain compliant selection at scale.
You will own the execution of high-impact inventory management programs including automated inventory suppression and removal order systems and multi-grain inventory tracking capabilities. You will partner closely with fulfillment operations, technology teams, and compliance organizations to build scalable solutions that minimize business disruption while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. You will drive measurable improvements in key metrics related to suppression of recalled products, stranded inventory reduction, selection reinstatement timelines, and removal order effectiveness.
This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on customer safety and seller experience while building innovative inventory management solutions at Amazon scale. If you are passionate about operational excellence and want to lead programs that balance customer safety with business opportunity, we want to hear from you.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to make a big impact on Amazon and its customers. You enjoy building massive scale and high performance systems but also have a bias for delivering simple and incremental solutions to complex problems.
Program Leadership & Execution
• Own end-to-end delivery of critical inventory programs including automated removal order systems and stranded inventory reduction
• Establish and optimize mechanisms for managing complex inventory workflows spanning fulfillment operations, technology teams, seller support, and compliance organizations
• Partner with fulfillment operations to implement automated inventory removal capabilities across all regions
Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with engineering, product, operations, and compliance teams to define program strategies that balance customer safety, seller experience, and operational efficiency, working across teams such as Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT), Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), and Classification & Policy Platform (CPP).
• Serve as primary point of contact for inventory-related communications with leadership, including deep dives and operational reviews
• Collaborate with recalls execution teams to ensure seamless coordination between ASIN suppression and inventory removal actions
• Build strong relationships with fulfillment operations teams to drive adoption of new inventory management processes and tools
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
• Drive initiatives to reduce seller reinstatement timelines through removal order optimization and automated detection systems
• Identify and eliminate root causes of removal order failures through systematic analysis and process improvements
• Create scalable mechanisms that reduce operational bottlenecks in inventory removal, binding periods, and reinstatement workflows
• Implement data-driven approaches to monitor inventory health metrics and proactively address emerging issues
• Lead initiatives to expand automated removal capabilities to new geographies and building types
