Profile

To strengthen our presence in India, we are looking for a Business Development Officer for Avionics in India who can build strong relationships, shape strategic opportunities and drive long‑term growth.

You act as a key commercial representative of ScioTeq in India, building strong relationships across the aerospace ecosystem and ensuring sustainable growth in full compliance with Indian localization requirements.

As Business Development Officer, you will:

  • Develop and execute the avionics business development strategy for India.

  • Build trusted relationships across the Indian aerospace ecosystem (industry, partners, authorities).

  • Engage early and proactively guide RFP requirements to align with our solutions and customer needs.

  • Work closely with the Site Manager for India, the VP Sales Avionics and global teams to pursue and win strategic programs.

  • Ensure growth in line with Indian localization and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor market trends, competition and customer needs.

  • Ensure accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting via CRM tools.

This is a high‑visibility role with strong autonomy and direct impact on ScioTeq’s success in India.



General

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within aerospace (or defense) Industry.

  • Strong understanding of avionics systems and the Indian aerospace market.

  • An established network with key Indian stakeholders (e.g. HAL, DRDO, ADA, BEL, primes).

  • Familiarization with Air Headquarters setup and concerned departments.

  • Familiarity with Indian bidding and procurement processes.

  • Confidence to engage at senior and C‑level.

  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on long‑term growth.

  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Education & experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Background or strong network within the Indian Air Force or related institutions is considered a plus.

  • 5 to 7 years of proven business development and/or sales experience.

Based in or willing to work from Bengaluru.
