What You'll Do

Be part of a team that is transforming BCG's digital transformation through analytics and data! We are BCG's Enterprise Services Business Intelligence & Analytics function that simplifies and automates information delivery-providing advanced insights and analysis to support decision making. To date, the team has launched and operationalized dozens of global-scale products and dashboards, enhancing how our leaders engage in information to manage the business. The next wave of digital reporting is underway which will help to unlock further value for BCG's leadership and functions with best-in-class business intelligence and analytics.

The Global BI&A Visualization Director & Chapter Lead will serve as a senior leader shaping the strategic direction of BCG's visualization capabilities and leading a chapter of BI developers. In this role, you will drive innovation on digital new solutions and products that deliver insights and analytics to help BCG's leadership make informed and better decisions. You will lead a team that is responsible for architecting, designing, and managing a suite of digital reports, dashboards and analytic products that will be leveraged globally by our business leaders and executive teams to understand and act on data-driven insights. You will help to creatively solve BCG's most challenging problems at the intersection of data and technology, deploying best practices on analytics, security, scalability, and performance. You will provide thought leadership for BI design, technology and analytic approaches and help define best practices and standards for reusable BI assets that will be utilized across the organization. As the BI landscape evolves with AI-driven analytics and automation, this role will be at the forefront of identifying, piloting, and integrating new capabilities into our analytics ecosystem.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering data and BI & Analytic solutions with significant leadership experience
• Proven experience leading BI or analytics teams delivering enterprise-grade dashboards and analytic products.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party development partners, including evaluating capabilities, setting performance expectations, and holding partners accountable to delivery standards.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate and plan for how emerging technologies - especially Gen AI - will affect team capabilities and ways of working, not just the technical product.
• Advanced experience with modern BI and analytic platform stacks (including Tableau Desktop/Cloud/Server (Certified Professional a plus), Power BI, Sigma, Looker, Snowflake, DBT, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end data architecture, including data modeling, semantic layers, and visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts as applied to analytics, such as natural language querying, automated insights, or embedded intelligence.
• Experience with embedding BI tools and creating a unified BI Portal with enterprise scalability and operational requirements
• Experience designing and implementing robust security solutions within Tableau (or similar tool) and role-based access and security
• Strong in ANSI SQL; experience with other coding languages a plus
• Well-versed with hosting options in the cloud or on-premise, database design and ETL/ELT concepts, and application of advance analytics concepts and tools
• Well-versed with eco system of data warehouse, data lake, data marts, ODS
• Knowledge of Financial concepts preferred
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies

• Ability to define and build analytic solutions to meet evolving business needs, spearhead new approaches, develop insightful, visually compelling, and engaging dashboards, reports and analytic products delivering high quality insights to our leadership teams
• Ability to structure data analysis to solve business problems and help guide developers and analysts to determine appropriate models and techniques; identify reusable patterns for modelling and analysis
• Understand the end-to-end data journey and can effectively work with data architect and engineers as well as analysts and visualization experts to optimize for scalability, security and performance of reporting and analytic products
• Identify and amplify robust, best in class practices for visual design, interactivity, and advanced analytics concepts
• Partner with the Data Governance team, data architects and engineers to assess current state and help build future state blueprints, identify technology pieces need for optimal architecture and describe value/impact of technical decisions
• Lead thinking on how AI, automation, and natural language analytics can enhance BI workflows and user experiences.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging tools and capabilities, integrating them into existing platforms where they add value.
• Guide the organization's transition toward more augmented, predictive, and proactive analytics.
• Articulate a clear perspective on how Gen AI and automation will reshape the BI function itself - including team composition, workflow redesign, and evolving stakeholder expectations - and translate that perspective into a concrete roadmap.

Team Leadership and Talent Development

• Act as the senior point of accountability for front-end analytics architecture, standards, and best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6-10 BI / visualization developers, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
• Establish skill development paths in areas such as data modeling for BI, advanced visualization, UX design, and emerging AI-enabled analytics.
• Develop and execute a talent strategy for the chapter, including hiring, onboarding, skills roadmapping, and succession planning; bring a point of view on how to build and sustain a high-performing analytics function.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Provide thought leadership on BI & Analytic technology and analytic approaches that can be leveraged at enterprise level to uplift analytic capabilities across the organization
• Manage relationships with external vendors, tool providers, and implementation partners; evaluate vendor capabilities, set clear expectations, and hold partners accountable to delivery standards.
