Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Team Leader to join the HOPE Program within the Mental Health Division located at Pascoe Vale South.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

The Team Leader is responsible for providing daily operational leadership in conjunction with the Specialist Program Manager and Program Medical Lead and Clinicians to monitor the provision of mental health care to our consumers.

This position requires extensive experience in mental health services and a high level of clinical expertise to provide care to consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers, and supports other clinicians in the delivery of best practice mental health care.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Extensive experience and sound working knowledge of community mental health services, including an understanding of the challenges involved in supporting consumers with complex needs.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and its application within community-based practice.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage, support, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, psychosocial workers and Lived experience workers.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving within a dynamic clinical environment.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build positive relationships and foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
