POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Deputy CEO will be responsible for driving the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the organization, while ensuring adherence to RBI compliance, customer service excellence, and business growth. This role involves strong leadership across cross-functional teams, data-backed decision-making, regulatory oversight, and hands-on operational governance of the Forex business. The ideal candidate should possess deep experience in the foreign exchange domain and demonstrate the ability to lead at scale in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership & Business Expansion

%CF; Collaborate with the Stakeholders to define the company's long-term vision and execute short- and medium-term goals.

%CF; Identify new business avenues in forex services (retail, B2B, remittance, and travel-related forex).

%CF; Play an active role in branch network expansion, channel partner alliances, and digital forex platforms.

%CF; Monitor competitive landscape, suggest new product/service enhancements based on industry trends. Operational Oversight

%CF; Oversee daily operations of forex branches and digital channels across regions.

%CF; Ensure smooth execution of money changing, remittance, prepaid forex card services, and related financial offerings.

%CF; Standardize SOPs and implement best practices across all branches and operational units.

%CF; Coordinate with cross-functional teams – Sales, Ops, Compliance, Accounts – for seamless execution. Sales & Revenue Targets

%CF; Own the Forex division's sales and revenue targets across all branches and channels (B2C, B2B, remittance).

%CF; Set and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for sales teams.

%CF; Track sales funnel conversion, branch productivity, and acquisition/retention KPIs.

%CF; Provide regular sales performance reports to the CEO and Board with gap analysis and action plans.

%CF; Analyze and implement new strategies for generating business opportunities Regulatory & Compliance Governance

%CF; Ensure company-wide adherence to RBI, FEMA, and related regulatory standards.

%CF; Monitor KYC/AML processes and ensure timely reporting of transactions to regulators.

%CF; Liaise with statutory and internal auditors, and ensure timely resolution of audit queries. Leadership & People Management

%CF; Lead a cross-functional team of Regional Heads, Sales Managers, Compliance Officers, and Analysts.

%CF; Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and goal-oriented work culture.

%CF; Play a key role in leadership succession planning, training, and team development.

%CF; Serve as acting CEO during the CEO's absence, ensuring uninterrupted leadership execution Data Analytics, MIS & Dashboard Oversight

%CF; Drive a data-first culture by ensuring real-time access to operational and financial data.

%CF; Supervise preparation of branch-wise, product-wise, and sales performance dashboards.

%CF; Identify business trends, sales bottlenecks, and areas of risk or opportunity using data analytics.

Financial Management

%CF; Review profitability, cost structures, revenue growth, and business unit performance

%CF; Provide strategic input for pricing, margin management, and commissions

%CF; support budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and ROI analysis

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / BACKGROUND:

%CF; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CA preferred)

%CF; Minimum 15 years of experience in Forex, with at least 6 years in senior leadership roles such as COO, Business Head, or equivalent.

%CF; Hands-on experience in managing multi-branch operations, leading cross-functional teams, and working with RBI/FEMA guidelines.

%CF; Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.

%CF; Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

%CF; Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and P&L management.

%CF; Excellent leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities.

%CF; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven, and compliance-sensitive environment
