Windows System Administration

Job summary

The System Administration Manager is responsible for management of all Windows Server

infrastructure at ICICI bank’s Primary (Hyderabad) and DR (Jaipur) Data Centre. This includes

managing Server Inductions, Server heath and its uptime, Server resource management,

augmentation, troubleshoot whenever necessary, managing incidents and executing projects end

to end along with managing 24x 7 operations. Detailed responsibilities are mentioned below: -

Job requirements

Good Knowledge for managing Windows Physical server i.e. CISCO, HP, Dell,

Fujitsu…etc.

Expert or Good understanding for Raid configuration, Troubleshooting related like

accessibility issue, Network issue, BSOD issues, Disk and storage related issues,

ILO/console concepts.

Well aware about Vmware and Nutanix technology and Good exposure to manage Virtual

Microsoft windows servers.

One who can handle issues related to OS accessibility, Network, Performance and other

operational work.

One who having good understanding in server Induction, OS installation (onsite or

remotely via console or ILO), Disk related actions.

Good exposure in Microsoft failover cluster (Creation, reconfiguration, Migrations, Cluster

disk related tasks)

Good Exposure in IIS (Site creation, Migration, Troubleshooting).

Troubleshooting of performance issue, Site reachability issues, troubleshooting of

different status codes i.e. 200,300, 400, 500 Series.

Log analysis like IIS logs, HTTPERROR logs, Freb, Worker process dump analysis,

OS log analysis perfmon, Memory dumps, Netmon.

Deep knowledge in OS to identify the cause for RCA during outages.

Basic or intermediate knowledge of PowerShell scripting.

Basic or intermediate knowledge of cloud concepts like Azure, Oracle, Google.

Basic task related to different clouds like Azure, Oracle, Google.

Proactively manage and maintain server, Virtual environment for high uptime.

Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that

will make a hands-off environment

Document best practices and support procedures

Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related in case of emergencies as well

occasional weekend maintenance.

Qualification

Graduation

Vast technical expertise in Windows and related technologies

Experience

Over all IT experience of more than 7- years with at least 5-6 years hands on experience

in Windows

Good administrative knowledge

Experience in finance domain in same profile would be an added advantage.

Experience in Team management, vendor management

Shell scripting for Automation of admin tasks

Good communication skills

Ability to learn and adapt with enterprise class technologies, best practices
