Fleet Personnel Officer

Responsibilities\nThe Fleet Personnel Officer is responsible for:\nMonitoring all aspects of seagoing personnel administration.\nControlling the implementation of Crew department procedures as planned.\nChecking that each vessel is manned with qualified, medically fit, and experienced seafarers.\nChecking all Officers and crew hold Certification as per Flag state and other statutory requirements and that crew possess all the licenses as per STCW’95 requirements and the certificates will remain valid for full term of crew’s employment.\nMaintain record of Unannounced D&A tests for all ships.\nControlling briefing, interviewing, screening, and hiring for all seagoing personnel.\nMonitoring available ex-crew and schedule deployment.\nChecking application forms and previous Company's records for each seagoing personnel prior to engagement and deal with the same after engagement.\nVerifying that the qualifications and experience of new recruits are genuine.\nReview of Appraisal reports and propose suitable candidates for promotion.\nEnsuring the control/monitoring of documents and certificates of embarking seagoing personnel.\nMaintaining Crew lists of current manning in respect of each vessel.\nProviding immediate medical assistance to the shipboard personnel.\nMaintaining personal, medical, and training records and certification details of all personnel. Keeping all personnel files up to date.\nTo ensure that Crewing Agency is taking services of approved Doctors and Quality controlled laboratories.\nTo screen all the resumes sent by crewing agency.\nTo ensure all crew are in good health prior joining vessel (As per ILO convention).\nTo ensure that all crew are screened for banned drugs (as per OCIMF Guidelines) prior joining vessel.\nTo arrange tickets for the joining and repatriation of ship staff in coordination with fleet vessels and the agencies.\n\nQualifications\nExperience in personnel administration.\nKnowledge of vessels’ particulars and trade.\nKnowledge of National and International Regulations, Flag State Regulations, etc.\nExperience in manning with qualified, medically fit and suitably experienced seafarers.\nExtensive knowledge of STCW certification and Flag state directives.\nExperience in ticket arrangements.\nExperience in working with travel agencies.
