The successful\ncandidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth running of\nsite operations after hours.\nThe role requires strong attention to detail, technical confidence, and the ability to\nmonitor systems, report irregularities, and respond appropriately to operational issues\nduring the night shift.\nThe Monitoring Officer will also provide administrative and operational support to\nvarious departments, with a strong focus on processing information, reporting, and\nsystem monitoring.

This role will ensure accurate monitoring, recording, and reporting\nof operational activities, as well as communication of findings to relevant parties.\n\nPrimary Objective\nTo ensure continuous monitoring of site operations, systems, and security protocols\nduring night hours while maintaining accurate reporting and immediate escalation\nof incidents.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n•⁠ ⁠Patrol and monitor facility areas, entrances, and restricted zones\n•⁠ ⁠Monitor operational systems, cameras, software platforms, and digital records\n•⁠ ⁠Record and report incidents, hazards, and operational irregularities\n•⁠ ⁠Review previous day’s activity and backtrack logs to identify potential risks or\nirregularities\n•⁠ ⁠Maintain accurate monitoring logs and handover reports\n•⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures\n•⁠ ⁠Perform basic system checks, file management, and data backups\n•⁠ ⁠Provide updates on operational activity and system status\n•⁠ ⁠Monitor multiple factory camera systems and operational platforms\n•⁠ ⁠Flag discrepancies, incorrect practices, theft risks, and maintenance issues\n•⁠ ⁠Prepare monitoring feedback reports and escalate findings where required\n•⁠ ⁠Respond promptly to emergencies and operational issues\n•⁠ ⁠Maintain full vigilance throughout the shift\n\nRequirements\n•⁠ ⁠Minimum Matric / Grade 12\n•⁠ ⁠Previous experience in monitoring, control room, security, or operations preferred\n•⁠ ⁠Strong computer literacy and confidence working with multiple systems\n•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel\n•⁠ ⁠Experience in digital recordkeeping, reporting, and file management\n•⁠ ⁠Strong numerical and data-capturing skills with attention to detail\n•⁠ ⁠Basic troubleshooting skills advantageous\n•⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and remain alert for long hours\n•⁠ ⁠Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills\n•⁠ ⁠Physically fit and reliable\n•⁠ ⁠Ability to handle confidential information responsibly\n•⁠ ⁠Diploma / certificate / tertiary education in related field advantageous\n•⁠ ⁠1–3 years’ experience in monitoring, operations, or similar role advantageous\n•⁠ ⁠High level of integrity and professionalism\n\nWhat We Offer\n•⁠ ⁠Competitive night shift remuneration\n•⁠ ⁠Structured and professional working environment\n•⁠ ⁠Training on company systems and monitoring procedures provided\n•⁠ ⁠Opportunity to gain operational and technical monitoring experience\n\nHow to Apply\nInterested candidates should submit their CV and brief cover letter\nto [email protected] or contact 060 998 8860.
