Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented financial controller to oversee and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks. Experience in managing import-export processes, transfer pricing, US accounting standards (US GAAP), and Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) will be an added advantage. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to ensure the company's financial health and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Job Description

1. Financial Management:

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.

Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger

Support month-end and year-end close process

2. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.

Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.

Research technical accounting issues for compliance

Ensure compliance on transfer pricing, related party transactions and export matters.

3. Taxation:

Oversee tax planning and compliance, including direct and indirect taxes, ensuring timely and accurate filings.

Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company's operations.

Work to operationalize and comply with US federal and state tax laws

4. Treasury and Cash Management:

Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and financial stability.

Monitor foreign exchange exposure and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with currency fluctuations.

5. Financial Analysis and Strategy:

Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making and long-term planning.

Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.

6. Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Requirements

CA with minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, in the manufacturing/consumer space.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.

Experience with multinational operations and understanding of cross-border financial transactions

is advantageous.

Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all

levels of the organization.
