Management Accountant

The Role As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Youll work closely with Directors and senior leaders, helping to translate financial data into meaningful guidance. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting reports Analyse financial performance and provide clear commentary on variances and trends Identify areas for improvement and present actionable recommendations to senior management Support and collaborate with the wider finance team across day-to-day operations Review and enhance financial systems, processes, and controls where necessary Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders Assist with purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, and other finance functions as required Ensure compliance with current financial regulations and standards Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies when needed Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and tasks About You AAT qualified (Association of Accounting Technicians) Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role Strong grounding in accounting principles and financial management Experience in bookkeeping and financial data processing Comfortable working in a fast-paced, medium-sized business environment Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to support across the finance function Able to meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements Whats on Offer Flexible working with the option of a 4-day week Supportive, team-oriented culture within a family-run business Opportunity to influence and improve financial processes A role where your input is genuinely valued If youre a driven Management Accountant looking for a role where you can make a real impact, wed love to hear from you - please apply now or give us a call on 01258 458 695 to find out more!
